Inition are leaders in cutting-edge 3D interactive experiences
Not sure it can be done? Ask us for an honest and informed opinion. We
have an unrivalled technical and creative team who enjoy the challenges
of doing something no-one had attempted before. Like for example our
mass-interactive game for the Top Gear Live show, or the MagicSymbol
trickery we did for the BBC for their Merlin series. We must apologise as this page is horribly out of date as (happily) we're too busy at the moment to sort it out, but anyway...
We are often involved with providing clients with
something extra special to attract customers to an exhibition stand.
From cutting edge force-feedback simulations
for medical clients, to interactive or immersive content designed to
wow the crowds, Inition guarantee to wow you and your clients with the
latest in 3D technology.
The only way to fully understand what we can achieve is to book an appointment with us and look around one of our demo studios in London or Melbourne.
Examples of Inition's interactive technology include:
MagicSymbol
A visually compelling and versatile interactive technology. Used by over half a million participants during the launch of The O2 in London, this technology offers an alternate take for competitions, promotions and unusual interactive experiences. See www.magicsymbol.com
for more. MagicSymbol was used in 10 cinema foyers and is currently
online for the BBC's launch of their flagship series 'Merlin'. You
download and see this in action now with your own webcam at www.bbc.co.uk/merlin
Introducing LILA from Inition
- the first system where the public can become a 3D character in
real-time; controlling every limb of a virtual character with their
own.
Members of
the public, with no special clothing or markers, can be transformed into
Avatars of their choosing, similar to the ones in Wii, Xbox360 and Playstation3
gaming systems, with the action relayed live to the participant and a watching audience via large screens.
Full
interaction with 3D Scenes
and other Avatars is possible with; voice and touch
options, 'Minority Report' style interactions, real-time physics, the
works! Just bring Inition your idea or let
our experienced team develop one.
Imagine
becoming:
Your favourite singer for a 3D karaoke session
Your favourite footballer
taking a penalty kick in the World Cup Finals
A 3D Avatar talking and playing
with others from around the world live
A video game
or cartoon character with special powers
...and getting a movie of it all
for prosperity delivered by email or to your phone. See videos
of the system in action by clicking the link, or call or email Inition for a
demo at our Central London Demo Studios.

Mass Interactive Games
Inition pioneered a live interactive audience experience at the BBC's Top Gear Live show.
5000 people at a time could vote on the coolness of particular cars and
steeer a car around the infamous Top Gear Test Track. Both parts of the
show were developed fully in-house by Inition. The show is now touring
the World.
Virtual Fluid
We are at the cutting edge of an exciting new technology that
allows full-body, unencumbered interaction within a virtual
environment, enabling the user to interact using nothing more than the movements of his/her body. This sort of interaction relies on digital cameras interfaced to the PC to pick up motion. More here...
Take a look at the stories below for more examples of Inition interactive work.
Inition Create
Virtual Injection Simulation for Botox
2006-11-13
Allergan, the company who make Botox, needed a simulator to allow
doctors to experience injecting botox for treating muscle spasm.
Inition worked with In Vivo communications to develop a PC-based
haptic simulator to allow doctors to feel an accurate representation
of the sensations involved in piercing the skin and the layers of
muscle underneath. We printed out a custom attachment for a haptic
device and designed a virtual 3D human bust with realistic muscle
structure; our designs and devices were used at pharmaceutical exhibitions
throughout the year, with enthusiastic reception from the experts
in the field.
Inition were commissioned by the River and Rowing Museum in Henley-on-Thames
to produce an immersive experience giving visitors a unique feeling
for what it is like to take part in a race at the world famous Henley
Royal Regatta.
Inition shot the 2005 Royal Regatta and Women's
Regatta in high-definition 360° using a custom developed rig.
We also did all the post-production in house and developed software
to allow playback of the 360 video inside a head-mounted display.
The 'In the Cox's Seat' experience is now permanently installed
at the Museum.
