Listed below are the highlights from the past twelve months...

• Busty Kelp animation studio, closely associated with Aardman Animation, took the plunge with an Animazoo IGS-190 last year, and though they have been busy doing idents for E4 and the Euro 2008 title sequence, they are finding time to advance their character services using the system.

• Russian film company Touch FX now has the Animazoo IGS-190, X-IST Facetracker, and 5DT wireless data gloves to grab full body capture in a virtually limitless space.
  
  
• Booming games company Rocksteady benefited from Inition's overview of the industry last year when they considered fitting an in-house motion capture studio. After giving a crash course in the options and differences in systems, Inition arranged demos of the leading devices and negotiated a deal for a top-end 28 camera F40 Vicon Optical system. With this in place, Rocksteady is now on the verge of finishing their AAA rated game title.

• Portugese TV production company Screen Team is expanding their PhaseSpace active optical system to full body capture for an upcoming series.
  

• The Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Poland decided they would do well with an Animazoo IGS-190 and X-IST HR2 3D Wireless DataGloves for their students.
  
  
• DeMontfort University are pushing boundaries of system integration with their Polhemus Liberty, VisionTrak, Gypsy 6, Vicon MX3+ system, and Immersion Cyberforce arm, all in their state of the art media wing.

• The University of Sussex, after much discussion, was recommended the Animazoo IGS-190, two Measurand Shapehands, and Autodesk Motionbuilder for their Cognitive VR Labs.
  
  
• Birmingham City University is taking advantage of a 6 camera Vicon MX13 optical tracking system for their media studies department.

• The University of Sheffield purchased a Polhemus VisionTrak and VRSpace Wintracker for their VR Cave after advice from Inition. Also at the University of Sheffield, a Measurand Shapehand, ShapeClaw and XSENS MTX development kit were snapped up by the Communications and Computing Research Centre.

• St. Andrews University are using their new PhaseSpace for tracking of the upper body for psychology experiments.
